(Or Rather, About Them)

Welcome to Obachan Dream. If you were expecting an inspiring, corporate story about a lifelong passion for textiles, you are unfortunately in the wrong place.

This store exists for one reason and one reason only: to fund the lavish, rent-free lifestyles of three cats—Haru, Kuro, and Lulu—and their equally demanding cousin, Ootie. They don't have jobs, they don't pay bills, and quite frankly, their standard of living is bankrupting us.

The Corporate Hierarchy

To help you understand who is actually running this operation, here is our organizational chart:

Haru (CEO / Chief Judgement Officer): The Velcro Professional, he lives in a constant state of affection-deficiency. Being stroked isn't a luxury for him; it is a human tax he levy every time you sit still for more than three seconds. Approves designs with a slight twitch of the tail.

Kuro (Head of Quality Assurance): Always look deeply disappointed in every life choice we make. Strictly tests all apparel by shedding thick coats of fur onto freshly pressed samples. If it doesn't attract fur, he doesn't leave the warehouse.

Lulu (Director of Chaos): Specializes in high-speed, 3:00 AM corridor sprints and knocking sample mugs off countertops to test gravity. Gravity works.

Ootie (The Freelance Consultant): The introvert cousin who moved in unannounced, spends 22 hours a day sleeping, refuses to elaborate, and does not like to mingle. 

What We Actually Do

When we aren't serving as full-time staff to our feline overlords, we manufacture things for humans. Specifically, we make comfy tees, warm sweatshirts, mood-lifting mugs, and humorous art prints.

Are they crafted with creativity and a whole lot of heart? Sure. But mostly, they are crafted so we can afford the premium wet food that our management team demands.

A Quick Disclaimer: Every time you buy a mug or a t-shirt from us, a cat gets a treat. If you don't buy anything, they will still get a treat, but we will have to look them in the eye and explain why the internet didn't appreciate their aesthetic. Please don't make us do that.
